M5 Network Security

Canberra, 28th April, 2011 – M5 Network Security today announced that the company has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Secure Computing Magazine (SC Magazine) Awards 2011. The SC Magazine Awards are widely recognised as being amongst the most coveted awards in the information security industry.

M5 Network Security’s mobile secure communications product, the SCS-200, was chosen by SC Magazine as a finalist for the Innovation Award. The SCS-200 is a ground-breaking mobile secure communications device which provides remote access at the highest security levels. It allows one to four users to send and receive information securely through a modern meshed network design over multiple simultaneous IP paths. The SCS-200 is small and light enough to be transported in an individual’s carry-on luggage, affording increased discretion.

The SCS-200 has been designed and manufactured in Australia, and is part of an overall Secure Communications System that has been developed for use by government departments, emergency services, Defence, and large corporations.

“We are extremely proud that the SCS-200 is being considered for the Innovation Award. The team has collectively put in a lot of hard work into this device, and we’re very excited to see it recognised for being the game-changing product that it truly is,” commented Matthew Wilson, managing director of M5 Network Security.

The awards ceremony, where winners will be announced, will be held on the 17th of May at the AusCERT 2011 Gala Dinner in Queensland.
