Since 1999, Northrop Grumman Integrated Defence Services (IDS) has supported the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) C-130 Hercules fleets. We are a trusted partner to the RAAF, having built a strong, long-standing relationship with the 84 Wing and Air Lift Systems Program Office located at RAAF Richmond.
Our RAAF Richmond C-130 team has delivered high aircraft and equipment availability rates, and successfully conducted more than 150 deeper maintenance C-130 operations to support the RAAF’s proud tradition of service. This has contributed to coalition operations, peacekeeping and humanitarian and disaster relief.
Our motivated and skilled team at RAAF Richmond comprises engineering, maintenance, logistics and training resources, with appropriate levels of management delivering all aspects of C-130 sustainment with proven experience in tactical transport through-life support.
Our continuing support to the RAAF extends to supporting our international partners in the broader Asia Pacific region. Our RAAF Richmond C-130 maintenance, engineering and logistics team are currently refurbishing and delivering four C-130H aircraft to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense as part of Australia’s humanitarian support initiative.
Our team is effectively working across cultures to deliver this new capability to the Republic of Indonesia. We have a history of partnering with our neighbours in the Asia Pacific region to deliver through-life support for fixed wing military aircraft.
