Strike Weapon Systems

Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) is a supersonic, air-launched tactical missile system with the improved capability to perform Destruction of Enemy Air Defense missions and is an upgrade to the U.S. Navy AGM-88 HARM system. AARGM is able to rapidly engage traditional and advanced land- and sea-based air defense threats, as well as non-radar, time-sensitive strike targets. Northrop Grumman’s potential material solution to the U. S. Navy’s AARGM Extended Range requirement utilizes existing AARGM sensors, electronics and warhead.


Aircraft Survivability

Northrop Grumman’s portfolio of aircraft self-protection equipment protects aircrews during combat missions. Products include the ShotFinder Acoustic Hostile Fire Detection System that identifies and directionally locates small arms fire, anti-aircraft artillery and rocket-propelled grenade threats, and the combat-proven AAR-47 Missile and Laser Warning System with Hostile Fire Indication electronic warfare system designed to protect helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft from surface-to-air threats.

Northrop Grumman’s Special Mission Aircraft product portfolio provides affordable, responsive and advanced capabilities to customer-preferred platforms. Northrop Grumman’s expertise includes integrating aircraft – including the Cessna 208B Caravan, Alenia C-27J Spartan, CASA CN-235/295, Lockheed C-130 Hercules, Bombardier Dash-8, Hawker Beechcraft King Air, Sikorsky H-60 Blackhawk, AgustaWestland AW139 and others – with attack and ISR capabilities. Additionally Northrop Grumman provides Contractor Logistics Support services around the globe. Northrop Grumman’s extensive expertise in weaponization, mission systems architecture and aircraft integration and certification of complex subsystems is proven on the battle field and enables rapid fielding.

Common Munitions Bit/Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE)

CMBRE was developed to safely initiate munitions Built-In-Test (BIT) and upload / download munitions software and plays a pivotal role in reducing the DoD Automatic Test Systems inventory by minimizing the logistics footprint and decreasing total life cycle cost. The CMBRE system supports more than fifteen different US weapons systems for the USAF, USN, USMC and more than thirty international Allies.
