Integrated Battle Management System (iBMS): A proven, interoperable, resilient command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence solution
Situation awareness enables good decision making. Northrop Grumman’s Integrated Battle Management System provides commanders with automated situational awareness (SA) information displayed in near real-time on high-resolution electronic mapping. Integrated Battle Management System is a proven, interoperable, resilient command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) solution providing modern land forces with better understanding of the mission space; thus mitigating uncertainty and enabling faster and better command decisions. In turn, this increases probability of mission success while reducing fratricide, casualties and property losses.
The Integrated Battle Management System delivers a command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence solution for brigade and below ground units using mature, combat-proven hardware and software components. The associated systems provide the basic building blocks for situational awareness and command and control (C2) in an integrated package adapted to any vehicle or command post configuration. Once the basic package is fielded, additional warfighting functionality may be integrated to include fires, intelligence, logistics and sustainment, combat engineering and force protection through a number of well-established interoperability standards and common messaging formats.
The Integrated Battle Management System is comprised of five key elements; Network Operations, Tactical Command Post, Vehicle, Handheld and command and control Software Suite.
