The MCRP is the latest modular, off-the-shelf member in the AN/TYQ-23 family of air defense command and control systems which are deployed worldwide for the USAF, USMC and international air forces.
The system represents over 20 years of AN/TYQ-23 system upgrade and improvement to keep it ready to meet today’s demanding air defense command, control and communications requirements. The AN/TYQ-23 family of systems is currently deployed worldwide for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and international air forces.
The MCRP is composed of a set of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) based, open architecture hardware elements. The system is available in standard off-the-shelf configurations or in custom, system engineered configurations to meet unique customer needs. The modular elements can be configured to meet a broad range of mission requirements from small expeditionary operations to large strategic or sustained operations. In addition, the MCRP elements can be utilized individually or collectively to meet a range of application needs including:
Full air defense C3 system
- Communications or data link processor for another system
- Radar processor for integration and data fusion of multiple air surveillance radars to provide a single integrated air picture
The system is deliverable in transportable (transit case), highly mobile (HMMWV shelter) or fixed site configurations. The MCRP software system is based on the currently fielded and supported AN/TYQ-23 system.
