TEAMMS Integrated Tools
The Test Equipment Asset Management and Metrology System, or TEAMMS, is designed to manage and control all aspects of the test equipment asset life cycle from acquisition and use to final disposal.
It contains all functionality to support a fully integrated Test Equipment and Asset Management / Metrology Operation. On line help guides the user through its many functions. The system is also supported by a training manual with actual photographs of key working screens.
TEAMMS is a complete metrology and asset management system providing control over capital assets, leased/rented items and low value assets. Features are intuitive and learned quickly.
TEAMMS was conceived, developed, created and implemented from the ground up as the first truly complete set of tools to manage an optimized set of priorities to achieve: the least cost, maximum utilization, and the highest quality.
Controlling variables such as recall, interval, idle time, redeployment and life cycle disposition can produce exceptional system level reliability. Today's advanced production and cost margins demand high reliability in test equipment. TEAMMS was designed to administer and optimize the bottom line.
Key Features Include:
- Advance forecasting
- Equipment reservation
- Acquisition by rent, lease or buy
- Equipment inventory control (identification, ownership etc.)
- Equipment rental charge back
- Recall for calibration or maintenance
- Re deployment (asset reuse capability)
- Metrology (records, history, traceability etc.)
- Vendor services tracking
- Commercial calibration tracking
- Measurement engineering for non conformance controls
- Business and operational reports
- Disposal at end of life cycle
- Full two way traceability from National Standards to & from product
- Bar code technology
- Automated label printing
Northrop Grumman made TEAMMS a global test equipment management system meeting all ISO-9000 requirements for world wide trade. The system also satisfies other USA and international specifications such as ISO Guide 25, ISO10012, ANSI/NSCL Z-540, MIL-STD-45662A and NASA space requirements NHB5300.4x.
TEAMMS is particularly well suited for large scale systems having multi-user and multi-customer demands.
True Client-Server Technology
TEAMMS utilizes Client/Server technology architecture. The Server is Unix based and clients are PC based utilizing a fully graphical user interface (GUI) meeting the standard Windows Application Program Interface (API). Data is stored in an Oracle database. Users access the data through a series of Client windows that provide a wide range of built-in features including: search, view, add, update and report capability. A work in process mode keeps track of all service work and each item of test equipment in process.
Clients may be easily managed for controlled limited access through a screen based security system. Clients run on typical Pentium desk top configurations using a local area network for database communication.
Reports may be posted on an Intranet and are accessed with a web browser such as Netscape. Clients may also access reports "on-line".
TEAMMS has the following documentation; a complete "User's Guide", a TEAMMS "Training Manual" and "TEAMMS Specification Manual".
TEAMMS meets or exceeds all related government and industry procurement requirements of DAR/FAR part 45 and part 46, MIL-Q-9858A, MIL-I-45208A, NASA NHB4500.4x, ANSI/NCSL Z-540, MIL-STD-45662A, ISO Guide 25, ISO-9000 (series), QS-9000 (self-compliance and certified),ISO-10012-1 and NUPIC / 10CFR.
System Client Requirements
Client software is installed on user PC's. Each has access privileges to the Oracle database server TEAMMS has the following requirements:
- 486 or higher IBM-compatible workstation running Windows 95 or Windows NT
- Minimum 16 MB RAM, DRAM, SRAM or EDO RAM memory
- Minimum 40 MB available hard disk space for client
- TEAMMS client software
- SQLNET for Windows to connect to the Oracle database
- Ethernet (or other LAN) connection to the network
- To view and retrieve reports from the Web, users need connection to an Internet server and a copy of Netscape 3 or above (or other graphical web browser) installed.
NOTE: Macintosh users can use the Macintosh version of Netscape to access these reports.
