The Integration & Test team is seeking a Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) Design Engineer with background in electrical and mechanical engineering to support multiple Autonomous Systems. The selected candidate will join a team of professionals integrating high-reliability hardware and software solutions for air vehicles. The immediate near-term role will support the SIT&E IPT in the medium scale integration of Global Autonomous Integration Lab (GAIL) hot bench, Software Integration Test Stations (SITS), and Mission Integration Test Stations (MITS).

Responsibilities include:

Design harness for complex Flight Critical, Communications, and Sensors systems

Design and fabrication of unique lab harnesses using air vehicle harness system schematics and sensor, network, and communications Interface Control Documents (ICDs)

Derive harness requirements from WRA ICDs

Perform re-design and modification of wire harnesses as required

Familiarity with harness manufacturing

The selected candidate will use rigorous design engineering processes and best practices for SIL to generate and maintain detailed engineering documents in Product Data Management and Product Lifecycle Management systems. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 5+ years of relevant experience OR

Masters Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 3+ years of relevant experience OR

PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university.

A current DoD Secret level security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

 

CATIA Standard, Electrical, Sheetmetal and CAT Drawing workbenches

Teamcenter Enterprise life cycle management product

Teamcenter Unified data management product

Follow ICDs, system wiring schematics, and system interconnect diagrams

Knowledge of analog, digital, AC/DC power design fundamentals

Extensive knowledge and experience with tools such as MS Visio and AutoCAD

Extensive experience with harness manufacturing

Knowledge of Ku-SATCOM, CDL, Inmarsat, and UHF LOS communications systems

Design of Electrical Power System for UAV

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
