Northrop Grumman is looking for multiple Level 4 Supplier Manufacturing Engineers supporting engineering technical activities with an assigned supplier base in the Eastern/Mid-West Region. Responsibilities include:

 
  • Serve as the technical liaison between NGCs Integrated Product Teams and other Global Supply Chain teams
  • Provide daily communication guidance to the Procurement Organization and other IPT organizations regarding supplier base issues and activities 
  • Ensuring proper working processes and procedures are taken place at the supply base in accordance to and in compliance with all other NG requirements Monitor, manage, and provide visibility of supplier manufacturing performance in support of purchase order requirements as required
  • Review master production schedules regularly to determine possible shortages and alert proper team members of potential problems daily
  • Ensure compliance of off-site tooling(s) and manufacturing policies regularly per Sector and Global Business Area requirements
  • Generate weekly progress reports of all supplier critical issues to management along with other matrix required to provide by the organization
  • Support daily/weekly investigation(s), development and implementation of suppliers corrective action measures with respect to non-conforming processes
  • Evaluate suppliers capability(s) when called upon for capacity issues, process control activities and make needed recommendations regarding utilization of the NGC supplier base back to the GSC organization
  • Participate in supplier reviews of technical data packages necessary to ensure constraints resolved to meet requirements
     
    This position requires daily travel from supplier-to-suppliers as well as supporting regular out-of-state travel when called upon by management and as needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors of Science degree
  • 9 years of Aerospace Manufacturing experience, 7 years with a Masters Degree and 4 years with a PHD
  • Require strong background in either machining, sheet metal or tooling
  • Ability to understand/ interpret engineering documents/drawings as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 75% including the possibility of out-of-state travel as needed
  • Required to provide own vehicle with a valid driver's license and insurance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Engineering Technology 
  • Extensive aerospace machine shop experience and sheet metal fabrication 
  • Tooling background
  • Aerospace Assembly Operations background
    Exposure to major Programs including F/A-18 , E2  or F-35 Programs
