Space Symposium Media Kit

show image Key military and civilian capabilities and programs to advance human discovery and protect and preserve the nation’s security will be on display at Northrop Grumman’s booth at the 34th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, April 16-19. Some programs that will be showcased include:
  • Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) is the next-generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system. As an integrated weapon system, GBSD will incorporate emerging missile technologies to increase performance, security, cyber resilience and nuclear safety while reducing life-cycle costs and modernizing infrastructure.
  • James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is the most ambitious and complex space observatory ever built and has made great technological progress. Webb is the largest international space science project in U.S. history and the highest priority science mission within NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. Both halves of the observatory’s complex hardware are now complete and now reside in the same cleanroom at the project’s observatory contractor, which is Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in Redondo Beach, California.
  • Advanced technologies enabling protected satellite communications, missile programs, astrophysics, space deployables, and mission systems.
