Pipefitter
As a pipefitter you will be responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials such as steel, copper, copper-nickel and stainless, along with the appropriate valves and fittings utilizing various tools and equipment in accordance with Marine drawings, arrangements and blue prints.
You will be certified on your ability to layout, fabricate, fit and install pipe, and be able to read Marine blueprints and work from standard and metric specifications.
Typical qualifications that may be necessary to secure employment as a pipefitter include:
- Must be available to work all shifts as needed to support production needs
- You will work in all weather conditions (heat-cold), as well as in tight and confined spaces, extreme heights and be able to wear a respirator in the work area
- Preferred candidates should be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of four to five years experience
- You will be required to pass tests to meet certification standards and must provide your own hand tools
