Bill Bowling is Corporate Lead Executive (CLE) for Quantico, Virginia.
As Corporate Director for U. S. Marine Corps programs and Corporate Lead Executive for Quantico, VA, Mr. Bowling serves as the primary advisor for interpretation of Marine Corps budget, program decisions, win/capture development and execution. He is directly responsible to develop and maintain a working relationship with senior members of the Marine Corps Marine Air Ground Task Force community and acts as Northrop Grumman Corporation’s principal in support of on-going programs, marketing efforts, future corporate business ventures, and program priorities with this customer community for Marine Corps programs. He maintains awareness of Marine Corps business area programs and supports corporate organizations in the development of their strategic, business and operational plans and program development activities.
Mr. Bowling joined Northrop Grumman in 2001, as Manager U. S. Marine Corps Business, Navy Field Marketing Team, where he was responsible for maintaining Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems Sector interest and positive image with the Marine Corps, primarily with Headquarters U. S. Marine Corps; Marine Corps Combat Development Command; Marine Corps Acquisition Command; Marine Corps Warfighting Lab; Marine Corps billets in support of NAVAIR and OPNAV; and the operational Fleet Marine Forces. In this position, he was recognized as "the voice of the Marine Corps customer" for the Electronics Systems Sector program/capture managers and marketing and business development organization, with unique insight for all Marine Corps existing and future business development.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Mr. Bowling completed 30 years of service in the U. S. Marine Corps, retiring as a Colonel. During his Marine Corps career he worked in the air support/air defense and aviation C2 communities, with assignments at all levels of squadron, group and wing commands.
Mr. Bowling has a bachelor degree from North Carolina State University and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. He is also a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and the Army War College.
