Supporting Our Troops and Veterans
Supporting those who have given so much to defend our Nation is important to Northrop Grumman and our employees. This support is reinforced with employee volunteer efforts, strategic partnerships, charitable contributions and programs that aid the employment of veterans and wounded warriors.
Our employees enjoy dedicating their time and energy to help a variety of organizations that focus on our troops and veterans. Care packages are stuffed for military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan. Employee teams have refurbished a local VFW and an emergency housing facility as part of a community service projects. USO Centers are common-place for employees who welcome home troops and make meals for military members and their families.
Strategic partnerships with organizations such as the USO support the excellent work the organization does for our brave men and women in uniform. The Wounded Warrior Project provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life.
Northrop Grumman has dedicated a portion of it charitable contributions towards non-profit organization that support to our troops, veterans and wounded warriors. These organizations, both national and local, provide invaluable services to those in need. From programs that allow active duty members of the military read a story to their children, to medical services for those injured, to assistance programs for homeless veterans, each program addresses important needs.
Operation IMPACT (Injured Military Pursuing Assisted Career Transition) is a Northrop Grumman program that provides career transition support to military service members who have been injured during the global war on terror and their families. For our employees, we have a number of initiatives to help further diversity and inclusion throughout the company. Employee Resource Groups are a key part of our strategy and encompass veterans, who are valued members of our work force.
