Above, conference participants toured Capitol Hill, which included a discussion with congressional women leaders and a visit to the Women’s Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery. |
The conference, which focuses on professional development and brings together 400 women from a wide variety of fields, started Sept. 22.
“The volunteer experience was a great way to start to the conference,” said Diane Perazzo, software manager, Sensor, Jamming and Tracking, Aerospace Systems in Bethpage, N.Y. “It gave us the opportunity to meet new people from different parts of the company and to collaborate on something that will help sustain our communities.”

Participating in one of several activities designed to give back to local communities, employees volunteered at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Clagett Farms, cleaning pumpkin patches, mulching, weeding and building poultry fences.
