James L. Cameron is corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman's Technical Services sector, a leader in the logistics support, sustainment and technical services markets. Cameron also serves on the company’s corporate policy council.
Cameron also serves as chairman of the board on several domestic and international joint venture companies including the Nevada Test Site, our nation’s largest nuclear testing facility involving more than 3,000 employees and five remote sites. His background includes demonstrated knowledge, superior performance, and hands-on experience in both product development as well as in sustainment and modernization.
Headquartered in the Washington, D.C. area, Technical Services numbers approximately 20,000 professionals. The sector enables Northrop Grumman to deliver more integrated product and life-cycle solutions, and dramatically expanded capabilities to our customers which include the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security and NASA.
Cameron has held previous leadership positions within the company most recently as vice president and general manager of the Defensive and Navigation Systems Divisions (DSD/NSD) the Electronic Systems sector. These divisions produced combined revenues well in excess of $2 billion in 2005.
Cameron joined Northrop Grumman as sector vice president and general manager of the Defensive Systems Division in 2003, after holding several executive positions at ITT Industries. He served as the president and general manager of ITT’s Systems Defense Group. Before joining ITT, Cameron held positions with Lockheed Martin, Litton Industries, and the Pentagon Office of the Secretary of Defense.
He received a bachelor of science and master of science from the University of Southern California in National Security Administration. He also is an industry graduate of the Defense Systems Management Program Manager’s course.
