Static Fire Test of OmegATM Second Stage

Northrop Grumman will conduct a full-scale static fire test of the second stage of OmegA, the company’s new intermediate/heavy-class rocket for national security missions, in Promontory, Utah. More than 12 feet in diameter and 40 feet long, the OmegA second stage will fire for approximately 130 seconds and produce approximately one million pounds of thrust. The test is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. MDT/11:30 a.m. EDT.
