An internship at Northrop Grumman is unique. Sure, you’ll learn new skills, explore our enterprise, network with experts, connect with thought leaders, and finish with a resume that opens doors. But you’ll gain something even more valuable: pride in what you’ve done.

Here are the basics:

  • For college level internships we typically look for rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students at accredited colleges and universities
  • We look for high potential students of all grade levels, and even have internship opportunities for high school students
  • Work assignments typically begin in May/June and end in August/September (minimum 8-12 week commitment). There are some opportunities for interns to stay on in a part-time internship capacity year round.
  • Included in many of our intern programs are orientation and kick-off events, networking opportunities with leadership and other interns, social activities, and learning sessions

We also offer Cooperative Education opportunities, or co-ops. A co-op is slightly different from an internship in that your school decides the terms and works with us throughout the experience. Co-ops may earn credit plus an hourly wage, and they are not limited to the summer months. Co-op opportunities are limited to participating Northrop Grumman locations and candidates from approved university Cooperative Education programs. Co-op opportunities may be part time (while attending class) or full time (minimum 8-12 week commitment) in the Summer.
