The Senior Principal Cyber Software Engineer position will be located in Alexandria, VA. 

Position Description:

 

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

  • Ensures software standards are met.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

 

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 9 years experience required.  An additional 4 years of related technical experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Geospatial developer experience.

  • Cloud technology familiarity, e.g., MapR, Hortonworks, Cloudera, or even just open source HDFS type component capabilities.

  • Minimum of 9 years experience in developing geospatial solutions.

 

Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:

 

  • TS/SCI is preferred.

  • 14+ years experience in developing geospatial solutions.
