The position requires solid payload system engineering knowledge in EO/IR space payload systems to help execute effective technical work processes and procedures. The candidate will be involved with system test design, system performance verification/validation, data analysis and trending, launch rehearsal planning and execution, system test planning and execution, generation of system databases and payload command products, assessment of payload state of health, operations support of operational payload constellation, anomaly investigation and resolution, Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Radiometric (RAD) calibration, payload Mission, and Flight disciplines. This includes technical planning, system integration, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Must possess ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
