Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Business Development Manager for Domestic Advanced Ground Sensors Programs to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.

Reporting to the Advanced Ground Sensor (AGS) Director of Business Development, within Strategy & Business Development, the individual will lead domestic efforts to identify, prioritize, develop and acquire AGS program opportunities. Programs of interest focus on domestic opportunities to include both new starts and upgrades/modifications/mission expansion of existing programs.

The individual selected will be responsible for the development and assessment of new opportunities for AGS radar systems and their integration and operation within target customers operational requirements, and development and maturation of contact plans with customer organizations and influencers to develop new and expanded AGS business opportunities.

The individual is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for identifying and  maturing initial capture targets, domestic market/mission expansion within and among the DoD Services, and effectively marketing the AGS business units products and capabilities to meet customer needs, thereby translating business opportunities into contact plans, strategic win themes, and supporting capture teams and wins. T

he individual will work with and collaborate with a team of business developers and other team members including all required functions in the Northrop Grumman Corporation, primes, teammates and subcontractors to develop and implement win strategies, compliant with Northrop Grummans business acquisition process (BAP). 



Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree with 10 years related professional experience.
  • An understanding of DoD and Service-specific requirements, acquisition processes, organizations, and people is essential. 
  • Knowledge in interfacing with USG Service and Command structure. 
  • Candidate should have proven experience in the establishment of new customer relationships with the objective of identifying customer needs and technology roadmaps to establish new opportunities for market/business expansion. 
  • The willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
  • Current active DoD Secret Clearance is required. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science Degree.
  • Current DOD Secret or TS clearance.
  • A minimum of 10 years demonstrated direct or related experience in ground radio frequency technology is required. 
  • Experience in requirements development, program management, and acquisition is desired. 
  • Detailed knowledge of the DoD Service organization needs, and procedures, including the Strategic Capabilities Office, Marine Corps, Army, National Guard, FAA, Service rapid acquisition organizations, NORAD, etc.  
  • An understanding of the DoD JCIDS/JROC process and PPBES. 
  • Direct or related experience in ground based radars or radar technology. 
  • A detailed knowledge of the Congressional budget approval process for DoD programs.   
  • Knowledge of the Northrop Grumman AGS programs including G/ATOR, HAMMR, TPS-78, Bio-protect, etc., and knowledge/experience in operational concepts of the customers including M-SHORAD.
