Northrop Grumman Mission
Systems Sector is seeking a Manager, Supplier Quality 1 to join the sector
Supplier Quality homeroom team. This position will lead the Supplier
Quality Field Engineering team.
As a key leader of the
Supplier Quality team, this leader collaborates closely with the division
Supplier Quality managers, as well as Quality & Mission Excellence and GSC
leadership to provide strategic thought leadership and preventive solutions to
ensure the quality of procured material and services. Qualified candidates will
have demonstrated success leading broad organization changes within cost and
schedule while achieving internal customer expectations and focusing on
organizational and team success. The position requires a solution-based

Establish and monitor
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify and pursue systemic improvement
strategies to improve supplier quality organizational performance, resourcing,
and create efficiencies
Serve as leader to
develop appropriate metrics to drive improved performance
tools to improve efficiencies within the organization and improve visibility
for both internal SQ and QME/GSC/PMO partners
Develop roadmap to drive
Serve as leader within
Supplier Quality organization to ensure progress to organizational improvement
Develop and instill
data-driven processes to measure supplier quality performance
Promote the professional
development of the Supplier Quality team and foster a collaborative culture
that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion,
affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's Degree in an
engineering, technical, business, operations, manufacturing, supply chain or
other related discipline
5+ years of
industry experience in Program or Project Management, Quality, Mission Assurance,
Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering.
1+ years of experience
managing and/or leading teams.
Experience in Lean Six
Sigma methodologies and tools.
High proficiency with
Microsoft Office programs and databases.
Excellent written and
verbal interpersonal, communication, leadership and mentoring skills and
confidence to brief upper management on a regular basis.

Experience in the oversight and management of
suppliers, supplier evaluations and supplier metrics reporting.
understanding of the program / product lifecycle in the areas of supply
chain management, operations, inventory control, production control, product
test & evaluation, root cause analysis, product sell off, shipping and
product support as they apply to quality.
Familiarity with ISO
9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.
in an engineering or management field.
experience as a Program or Project Manager, Quality Manager, Supplier Quality
Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Engineering Manager or Manufacturing Management
Lean / Six Sigma Green
or Black Belt certification to drive continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to
apply strong analytical skills.
