Job Summary


Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is seeking a CAD Drafter to work with our engineering teams to create detailed CAD drawings for mechanical and electrical components/assemblies used in the production of Space Flight systems for our NASA and Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) customers. Our engineering teams are presently supporting robotic satellite servicing missions to repair and refuel satellite.


Job Responsibilities

  • Create detailed CAD drawings using AutoCAD software.

  • Verify/check team members completed work for dimensions, materials and quantities.

  • Work with engineering teams to research parts and materials.


Required Skills

  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD
  • Must be familiar with Windows and Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Excel is a plus

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and customer interface skills are required.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

Additional Skills (a plus but not required)

  • Familiar with Mentor Graphics PADS/DxDesigner, Cadence OrCAD, CAM350, and/or Altium software.

  • VB programming in Excel and/or PADS software.

Qualifications

Education
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent experience is required.
  • Graduate of a CAD/Drafting/Design/Computer Aided program or equivalent AutoCAD experience is preferred.
