Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Associate Embedded Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals working toward ensuring our countrys security. We want self-starters who will be part of a team of software professionals developing world-class software in a structured environment to meet our customers high expectations.


This position will be located in Bethpage, NY. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, verification, sustainment and test support for our programs.


The successful applicant will have strong C++ software design and development skills. Knowledge of computer networking, modern software development environments, software configuration management tools is a plus. The selected engineer will work within a multi-disciplined product development team to develop software systems and tools supporting our defense products.





Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or STEM related field

Strong C++ software development skills

Working Knowledge of MATLAB

Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance prior to starting employment (clearance not required for consideration).

Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree in STEM

Active Secret clearance

Experience with embedded software development

Experience with Model Based Engineering/UML

Experience with analysis tools such as Wireshark, debuggers, or other low-level applications system analysis software/hardware

Experience with the Agile methodology

Familiar with tools such as Rhapsody, DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuest
