Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.


Coordinates the efficient flow and timely delivery of material, hardware, and equipment between the Target Programs production, missionization, and remote launch locations.  This includes the coordination of shipping, logistics record keeping, government property compliance and maintenance and calibration of tooling and equipment. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead select Targets Programs Logistics efforts

  • Logistics Task Leader and Coordinator

  • Change agent to improve Targets Logistics processes

  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly objectives are achieved

  • Cost Account Management (CAM)

  • Coordinate movement of program and customer hardware between NGIS sites (e.g. Chandler AZ, Huntsville AL, Promontory UT, etc.), suppliers, as well as the movement of hardware to/from launch sites (e.g. Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, Marshall Islands).  This includes the organization of shippers, physical transfer of hardware to required or requested location(s), compliance with all paperwork requirements including transportation requests and DD1149 for the transfer of government assets.

  • A close working relationship with NGIS Operations, Government Property, Transportation, Receiving, Planning, Integration and Test, Warehouse and Targets Program Personnel.

  • A close working relationship with the Missile Defense Agencies Logistics, Property and Transportation Teams.

  • Other duties as defined.


  • Minimum Education / Experience: 10 Years with Bachelors; 8 Years with Masters

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels in the organization

  • Very strong MS Project, Excel, Power Point and Word skills

  • Previous experience leading a multi discipline team

  • Previous experience driving process improvement efforts

  • Experience with Logistics Processes involving the Missile Defense Agency preferred

  • Must be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and be able to effectively communicate to Operations Manager and other Program personnel. 

  • Must be able to multi task and be extremely organized.

  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
