Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Charlottesville, VA.


Where will you find innovation and technology At Northrop Grumman Corporation, developing software to support our U.S. defense and homeland security services. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's This position will support our Maritime Navigation and Machinery Controls systems used by US Navy and US Coast Guard customers.


Roles and Responsibilities:
Embedded Systems Software Development working as part of a multi-function development team
Translating System/Software requirements into design and implementation
Unit and integration level testing of all software work products

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and at least 9 years of relevant experience.
9+ years experience with C++ or C# software development
9+ years experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
Must be able and willing to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Agile software development
Familiarity with Maritime Navigation or Machinery Controls domains
