The JTAGS team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Administrator or Principal Systems Administrator based out of Colorado Springs, CO.



What Youll get to Do:


JTAGS-P3I is a system developed to meet theater Tactical Ballistic Missile (TBM) warning requirements.  The contract executes multiple phase of the engineering lifecycle including development, production, and sustainment. This System Administrator will join the engineering team in supporting new designs for upgrades, integration, troubleshooting, testing, exercises, training, patching, documentation, deployments, and forward deployed site support. Maintains and installs hardware/software for ground processing systems with network and system administration skills.  Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents.


Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems with a focus on network administration. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space, and applying and analyzing the up-to-date security posture.

Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either a Systems Administrator or Principal Systems Administrator level.

Youll Bring These Qualifications:


  • For a Systems Administrator: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • For a Principal Systems Administrator: Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Network administration experience
  • Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and cryptographic equipment
  • System administration experience using Linux and LDAP
  • Familiarity with server architecture and data processing hardware
  • Familiarity with information assurance guidelines and practices
  • Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT Level II) certification (e.g. Security+)
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance


These Qualifications are Nice to Have: 
  • System administration experience using Windows and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of military weapon systems
  • Scripting experience
  • Training or advanced knowledge specific to Cisco, NetApp, HP servers, and Dell servers
  • Experience with antivirus and/or IDS signature updates, vulnerability scanning, and STIG implementation
  • Experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS) and/or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools
  • Experience designing and/or integrating computer system hardware
