Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.


Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is seeking a Manager, Price-to-Win at our Dulles, VA offices. This is a senior-level position that requires a blend of technical, finance, business development, proposal, team building and strategic thinking skills to be successful.  The Manager, Price-to-Win will have the following responsibilities:

 


  • Perform primary and secondary research as required to support price-to-win analyses for sector priority wins
  • Work with executives, technologists, engineers and other managers to assess customer and competitor decision tendencies, develop system architectures, and model competitor cost and pricing strategies

  • Determine competitor win strategies and internal counter strategies

  • Perform price-to-win analyses for sector priority wins

  • Identify new, streamlined approaches and tools to improve the operational efficiency of the sector

  • Train company employees to perform price-to-win analysis

  • Develop strong partnerships with strategy, business development and engineering teams across the company for knowledge sharing and collaboration

  • Effectively communicate insights and results to an executive audience




Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications: 
 
 

  • Bachelors degree in related field with 12 years of relevant experience or master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience

  • Top notch research and analysis skills, with past experience conducting in-depth analyses and assessments using both primary and secondary research

  • Experience performing U.S. Government budget analysis and price-to-win analysis, especially for the defense and intelligence communities and NASA

  • Strong oral and written communication

  • Ability to work with the utmost confidentiality when applicable

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on a team

  • Active Secret clearance

   
Preferred Qualifications:


 

  • MBA/Masters degree from an accredited college or university in business, engineering, science, economics, mathematics, or philosophy

  • Previous program management or portfolio management experience

  • Former cost proposal management experience

  • Strong business acumen, with ability to understand market dynamics and competitor win strategies and develop counter-strategies

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
