Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Composites Machine Operator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

 

This position is located in El Segundo, CA.

 

In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

 

Determine from specifications, machine operating instructions (MOI), and/or production orders the work methods and sequences necessary to machine details or assemblies that meet engineering requirements.

 

Validate machine set ups and part runs are compliant with MOIs and process work instructions.

 

Perform routine preventive maintenance of assigned machines.

 

Ensure machine axis are within tolerance by running calibrated artifact and calling maintenance when machine is out of tolerance.

 

Maintain a job log, records down time, and inter shift coordination as required

.

Must have knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments. Reads and interprets blueprints.

 

Perform housekeeping activities to ensure a clean and safe work environment, while complying with environmental regulations.

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma/ GED and 2 years experience working in a production machining environment.
  • Must possess knowledge and experience operating multiple pneumatic machine types and ability to read, translate and follow shop floor engineering documents, requirements and work instructions.
  • Ability to use various inspection tools and techniques.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work any shift or work schedule.
