Description

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Compensation Director to lead a team of compensation professionals providing compensation consulting and administration to the sector. Reporting to the VP, Compensation and Benefits, the successful candidate will be responsible for being the primary interface with the sector leadership, the human resources team as well as managing the compensation team who provides compensation support to the sector. This position will be responsible for developing, recommending, and coordinating the implementation of compensation programs, policies and procedures for all levels and categories of employees.

Responsible for:
Leading the Assessing and Rewarding integrated process and training for the business unit in partnership with human resources and organization effectiveness teams.
Collaborating with compensation, HR colleagues, and line leadership to provide guidance on total compensation solutions.
Consulting with clients on compensation solutions, job evaluations as well as recognition and reward strategies.
Working with both the Enterprise Compensation Administration and Executive Compensation groups to enable the development and delivery of enterprise-wide compensation training, systems/tools and communications.
Providing change management leadership to sector leadership and human resources to help drive change through the organization successfully.
Managing the compensation team who supports the sector as well as partnering with functional process owners which include ECA, systems, and compliance groups to ensure programs remain consistent across enterprise.
Coordinating the team to ensure complete and complex analyses are formulated to establish the foundation for recommendations to business leaders on alternatives and recommended solutions to business issues.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related discipline.
Minimum 13 years compensation or related discipline experience (advanced degree substituted in lieu of experience).
Demonstrated experience leading large, complex initiatives and associated change management activities.
Superior writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as attention to detail.
Demonstrated effective presentation skills and techniques.
Ability to influence, work and communicate well with senior management.
Strong work ethic and collaborative approach.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong focus on quality of work.
Ability to work independently but also collaborate within a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Business, Human Resources or other applicable field of study
Certified Compensation Professional or similar Compensation or HR certification.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft.
Experience leading teams (direct or matrixed for a project or initiative).
