Northrop Grumman is in need of a Computer Networks Lead to manage enterprise IT support services to be provided to the United States Army Pacific staff located in Honolulu, Hawaii.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and plan network communications systems.

  • Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

  • Deliver specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

  • Conduct testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.

  • Evaluate and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

  • Direct the work of employees assigned to perform network engineering, cybersecurity, and data management tasks.





Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience designing local, regional, WAN, and network systems and subsystems supporting voice, video, data, and imagery information

  • 2+ years of experience leading teams of network engineers

  • 2+ years working with Department of Defense Information Assurance policies and guidelines and applying their implications on network architecture design and configuration

  • Possesses an active CISCO Certified Network Professional (Routing & Switching) certification

  • Possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with access to SCI based on a Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI)



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems

  • Experience with implementing Hyper Converged Infrastructures and CISCO UCS platforms

  • Experience with implementing IT systems on DoD networks, DoDIN and cross domain solutions

  • Experience in certification and accreditation of US Army or DoD systems

  • Experience providing network services for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems
