We are seeking a Flight Inspector for a deployed position in Afghanistan with no home basing for the Hunter Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). Work will entail deployments to hazardous duty locations in support of the military customer. Candidate is required to obtain Hunter UAS Technician training in Dugway, Utah at the Rapid Integration and Acceptance Center (RIAC) and Quality Assurance training in Sierra Vista, Arizona at the Unmanned Systems Integration Center (USIC) prior to deployment. Candidate will also be required to pass Department of Defense medical and training standards offered at the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) in Ft. Bliss, Texas to be eligible for deployment. 

  Candidate will be required to: 

  • Apply and maintain standards of quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures and be able to modify and implement change as necessary.
  • Provide coordination, guidance, and analysis of work performed on Hunter system components throughout the life cycle management process.
  • Inspect demonstrator and production aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications.
  • Inspect the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft.
  • Perform preflight and postflight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft.
  • Approve non-flight-proven aircraft for flight through inspections of adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Hunter Quality Assurance Program

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent AND 6 years of applicable experience in the aviation maintenance, quality, or operations field.

Intermediate level computer usage skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.  

Must have an interim Secret clearance or higher to start.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  Active SECRET security clearance, expansive knowledge of Aviation maintenance management regulation (DA PAM 738-751, TO 00-20-1 and similar) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 8210.1, FAA certifications in Airframe/Powerplant, FAA Inspection Authorization (IA), experience with military deployments.
