Are you ready to put your years of experience to work at Northrop Grumman If so we need you as a Principal Cyber Information Assurance Analyst to join our team in support of the U.S. Army Europe Regional Cyber Center Europe (RCC-E) located in Wiesbaden, Germany. 


Job Duties:

  • Ensuring information assurance for all devices on our Enterprise Networks (SIPRNet, NIPRNet, Coalition Networks, Exercise), utilizing tools such as ACAS, SCCM, QTIP, and VMS. Additionally the candidate should be knowledgeable with applying patches and DISA STIGs to Microsoft Windows and Redhat Linux systems

  • Make recommendations on process tailoring and document process activities. The candidate, may conduct passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments as well as credentialed scans for deeper inspection of the nearly 30,000 scannable items throughout the RCC-E footprint

  • Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments

  • Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits

  • Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6-3), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities

  • Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports

  • Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M

  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.



Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor Degree with 5 years IT networking experience; or Associates with 7 years networking experience; or Major Certification (e.g., Microsoft-Certified Software Engineer) and 9 years networking experience; or no degree/certification and 11 years experience

  • An approved 8570 IAT III certification, such as CompTIA Advanced Security Practioner (CASP) OR (ISC) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) OR GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

  • A current Secret security clearance (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience with IA Scanning tools such as Retina or ACA

  • 2 years experience with the RedHat UNIX operating system or Microsoft server based platforms

  • 2 years direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems
