Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst to fill a position in Landover, MD.  The candidate will be responsible for providing security management of a large, high profile DOD SCI/SAP program.  Job tasks include the following:

  • Perform as the CSSO/CPSO responsible for the management and oversight of an SCI and SAP program.
  • Direct interface with the Special Security Officer and Program Security Officer in support of on-going security tasks and requirements, investigations, and security audits.
  • Oversee the management and physical accreditation of a SCIF and SAPF; enforce compliance with IC and SAP policy.  Maintain the physical security integrity of the Landover facility, to include oversight of guard support, operation of facility alarms, access control, CCTV, and emergency response and contingency planning.
  • Prepare for and participate in Government inspections/audits of classified programs and secure areas.
  • Represent Security during program staff meetings and provide consultation and advice based on Government and company security policies and procedures to Program Managers, Functional staff and other team members.
  • Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
  • Conduct Security briefings to include, SCI and program level indoctrinations, annual refresher training, foreign travel briefings, and briefs the Security slide to students attending onsite training courses and during program All Hand meetings.
  • Coordinate security activities direct with the customer, often on an ad hoc basis.
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
  • Make classification determinations, interpretations, and rulings; consults with the Government when a determination cannot be made and provides the results to management.
  • Serve as the COMSEC custodian for a large COMSEC account; provides oversight to three alternate COMSEC custodians; experience in upgrading cryptographic device firmware and interoperability of firmware versions between enterprise encryptors; knowledge of the handling, maintenance, storing of KG-175s and associated keying equipment; provides hands-on installation, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of COMSEC equipment, as required.
  • Works directly with Northrop Grumman Export and the Government Foreign Disclosure Office in the processing of all foreign visitors to the facility.

This position can be filled at either a level 3 or level 4.

 

Basic Qualifications for a level 3: 


6 years of CSSO/CPSO, Industrial Security or related experience with a Bachelors or 4 years with a Masters, an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for Bachelor's.

 

Active TS/SCI Clearance.

 

Ability to travel up to 10%

 

Basic Qualifications for a level 4:

 

10 years of CSSO/CPSO, Industrial Security or related experience with a Bachelors or 8 years with a Masters, an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for Bachelor's.

 

Active TS/SCI Clearance.

 

Ability to Travel up to 10%.


Strong working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 

Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions in the midst of ambiguity and meet deadlines.

 

Self-starter that needs minimal supervision.

 

 

Knowledge of JPAS and SIMS databases.

 

Familiar with using Apple OS and applications.

 

Experience working within the Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations environment.

 

Familiarity with Defense Courier Service (DCS).
