Northrop Grumman is I need of a Java Developer in Lanham, Maryland


Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the elicitation and specification of requirements
  • Researches, designs, develops, and/or modify Java/J2EE application using technologies such as Spring 3, Hibernate, SQL, XML,  JMS, IBM MQ, and Oracle
  • Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards
  • Development and execution of unit tests
  • Solve complex technical issues under general supervision

 

Qualifications

Level 1:
  • Bachelors Degree in Technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Information Systems from an accredited university or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of Java/J2EE application development
  • Demonstrated understanding of software design patterns
  • Solid analytical, interpersonal,  and communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain an Government Minimum Background Investigation security clearance
  • US residency requirements apply
Level 2:
  • Bachelors Degree in Technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Information Systems from an accredited university or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2 years of relevant work experience with Java/J2EE application development
  • Demonstrated understanding of software design patterns
  • Solid analytical, interpersonal,  and communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain a Government Moderate Background Investigation security clearance
  • US residency requirements apply
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of Linux experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Database Performance Tuning Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of high volume transaction systems experience
  • Previous experience with Agile Development
  • Current MBI clearance
  • Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch
  • Software design, development, unit testing and integration experience
