Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Quality Analyst to join a dynamic, innovative team that produces a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies and subsystems.  The Quality Analyst will be responsible for assuring quality and conformance of products through production and test. This position will be located in Lanham, Maryland.

Responsibilities include:


  • Directly supports Production and Test activity utilizing MES system 
  • Communicates scheduled MIPs (Mandatory Inspection Points) with customers and help plan and execute internal inspection events to meet scheduled MIPs
  • Submits products to customers for Source Inspection and act as liaison to the program
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met
  • Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications
  • Develops production inspection plans to ensure program requirements are met.
  • Reviews Work Instructions to ensure all program requirements for Production and Test are identified and verified.
  • Performs in-process inspections IAW NASA 8739 standard or other industry recognized workmanship standard
  • Participates in disposition of non-conforming material IAW internal procedures
  • Supports on-site and off-site test activity. Support will include verification of test set-up and review of test data
  • Develops Quality Assurance Directive based on unique program requirements 
  • Works independently with minimal supervision while meeting expectations in support of the Program.
  • Performs Internal Audits to ensure compliance to AS9100 Rev D


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and 3 year's of experience or a Master's degree and 1 year of experience or an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Experience in high-reliability field such as aerospace, space flight, medical etc. 

  • Experience in production/manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Configuration Management for Hardware and Software
  • U.S. Citizen

 
Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge Configuration Management System ISE/CADSTAR

  • Knowledge document control system Command Media

  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar compliance auditing 

  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems, e.g. SAP, Solumina, etc.
