Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Administrator based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.



What Youll get to Do:


The Systems Administrator (Privileged User) will be responsible for maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, on a restricted program.  This position will recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.  This person will be a privileged user on the system and will work with S/W and SEIT organizations to install/configure/troubleshoot FOSS/COTS/GOTS/etc.  The candidate will work with other infrastructure support groups to incorporate lesson learned (from task above) in building out new systems and modifying current systems.  As need, the candidate will help in infrastructure build out (virtual infrastructure) and with general SysAdmin needs in virtual environment.

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Level or a Sr. Principal Level.


Basic Qualifications for a Principal level are:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of systems administration experience or 4 years of systems administration with a Masters, or 10 years in lieu of degree
  • Security + certification
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Current SCI access or current DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal level are:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of systems administration experience, or 8 years of systems administration with a Masters, or 14 years in lieu of degree
  • Security + certification
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Current SCI access or current DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
  • Knowledge of RHEL 7
  • CISSP Certification
