Description

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced systems administrator to join our multi-disciplinary Team at Melbourne, Florida.

 


 We are looking for a systems administrator experienced in planning, standing up, and maintaining a Linux lab environment. The position may expand to administrating multiple labs.

 


This position offers the option of a 9/80 work schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Year with Masters / An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret or a minimum of an active Interim Secret clearance to start.
Must possess or plan to obtain CompTIA Security+ or equivalent Certification within DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II.
Ability to stand up and maintain a Linux lab environment (administration and support)
Network administration knowledge (troubleshooting, interface with local network support staff).
Ability to create and build OS installation discs
Experience with ClearCase (troubleshooting, installation, user administration)
Basic computer hardware and troubleshooting knowledge
Experience with formatting hard drives, imaging hard drives, managing backups
Perform backups, perform periodic backups, and implement recovery plans
Must have the ability to write scripts for use in deploying updates/settings across multiple systems (bash, shell, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI
CompTIA Linux+
Experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
