The Mission Assurance representative provides process support with the goal of achieving superior program performance and strives for 100% Mission Success. The MA representative will provide critical thinking to our segments and programs to assure we are in alignment with our mission and strategies and be a lead voice for function and segment to assure all voices are heard and valued. They will be independent, always looking at our mission and vision to assure our strategies and execution are in alignment with them and that our innovation pipeline supports the mission and the employees of ASD.

The MA team is committed to unmatched expertise in the core areas of process development and performance management, business management and operational excellence, risk management, and continuous improvement. The MA team manages a healthy pipeline of integrated, multi-disciplined continuous improvement projects, tools and solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Attitude, Servant Leader, in that success is measured in how well the Business Segment does and the people MA interfaces with within the Business Segment
Aligned in business segments to monitor and help the overall segment and programs achieve performance goals, provide Strategy Deployment support helping identify and communicate objectives, risks and opportunities, and evaluate performance risk. Work with segment and cross functional teams to mitigate identified risk and initiate opportunities that support Mission Success.
Work cross functionally to identify and prioritize problems, Facilitate initiatives for business, operational, technical, and administrative process improvements in support of the overall mission success, to reduce waste and quantifiably improve process efficiency & effectiveness.
Provide independent analysis of growth and execution strategies to leadership for pursue, development, test, and production
Ensure robust program execution through program plan and schedule reviews combined with critical thinking to verify all key risks have been identified and satisfactorily mitigated
Establish key project and process indicators / measures to assess project success and process performance.
Proactively work with functions and segments to continuously improve our Quality Management System and correct any identified deficiencies in support of our mission and strategies.
Audit business systems and processes against our Mission and strategies for risk, problem identification, and correction. Ensuring that corrective measures address all stakeholders voices and meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Works with personnel at all levels and across the organization including executives, and provides executive level briefings.


Basic Qualifications:
BS in Engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, chemical, physics, aerospace, or systems engineering (9 Years with BS; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD)
Significant experience within one or more of the following areas: Mission Assurance, Supply Chain, Systems Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent expertise.
Strong in understanding and application of statistical methods, data / analytical expertise.
Strong written and verbal communication and formal presentation skills.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:
MS degree.
Lean / Six Sigma Master Black-Belt Certified.
Experience with Minitab or equivalent statistical software.
Process-focused ISO9000/AS9100 audit experience.
Able to develop, manage, maintain new or existing, multiple information systems.
