Our Submarine Trainer Maintenance program in Middletown Rhode Island is looking for an experienced part time Procurement Specialist to provide support to vital Navy training systems around the world.


You will be responsible for providing procurement support for seven Navy Submarine training sites thought the US. Based in Middletown RI.

  • Your  duties and responsibilities will include:
    Obtain budgetary quotes for all requested items/services.
  • Submit requisitions for all order and subcontract requests into iBuy procurement system.
  • Provide backup documentation such as quotes, Statement of Work and justifications to buyers.
  • Follow-up with buyers, subcontracts and vendors to ensure orders are placed and received in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with vendors to check order status and correct any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update Filemaker order database with order information.
  • Maintain and store order documentation. Update and maintain program hardware tracking sheets.
  • Send hardware tracking sheets to program and customer personnel weekly and monthly as required.
  • Process equipment repair requests by contacting vendors and coordinating the return, repair and payment of repairs.
  • Process received invoices in a timely manner to ensure on time payments to vendors.
  • Communicate directly with Accounts Payable as needed to resolve any invoice issues.

***This is a part time position providing 30 hours per week. 



Basic Qualifications:
1.Bachelors + 3 years or AS + 6 Years. 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
2.Experience with Procurement within a corporate environment.
3.Experience with obtaining pricing quotes for items and services.
4.Experience with issuing and monitoring Purchase Orders.
5.Experience with processing invoices.
6.Experience with online procurement and invoicing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
1.Experience with Filemaker database software.
2.Experience with iBuy purchasing software.
