Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Northrop Grumman is currently looking for a Production Test Technician 3 to work at our Northridge, California facility.


Responsibilities:

Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences. Lays out and assembles units for production equipment according to designs and specifications. Adjusts and calibrates systems as needed. Modifies equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with standard test equipment: multi-meter, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, signal generators, power meter, power supplies.
  • The ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units.
  • Follow aerospace standards including AS9100
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access and Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must have team-oriented attitude, accountability and ownership.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidate will perform acceptance tests on complex electronics including functional analog and digital tests as well as engineering evaluation tests as well as CCA, system, thermal and vibration tests.
  • Experience in supporting various tests, from sub systems including specifying instrumentation requirements through higher level Final Acceptance Tests
  • Familiarity with standard test equipment: multi-meter, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, signal generators, power meter, power supplies.
  • The ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units.
