Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Manager, Project Management Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

 

This position will report to the AS PM Homeroom Program Operations Director but takes day to day direction from the B-2 Enterprise Program Integration Team Director.  This position oversees and manages ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management and the functions.  Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports; ensure the program integrators are properly executing enterprise processes;  identifies deficiencies and implements updates to the enterprise processes, manages staffing planning and resource fulfillment for the program, leads the recurring strategic rhythm and operations for the program, and assesses enterprise project risk, issues, and opportunities to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, goals and objectives.

 

This position is also responsible for direct line of leadership for a team of project managers to include performance management, staffing, career development/planning and engagement.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree and 5 years experience in program integration
  • Proven communication and leadership skills
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to be granted and maintain special program access 
  • Experience in working with subcontractors and customers at all levels
  • Demonstrated understanding of program risk, opportunity and issue management process
  • Demonstrated experience in program reporting

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Masters Degree
  • B-2 Special Program Access
  • Experience managing a team in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to develop relationships and operate in a collaborative team environment
