Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently seeking an s seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer for its Armament Systems business unit in Plymouth, MN 

 

 
The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will provide engineering support to the assembly and production of electro-mechanical assemblies . The engineer will also design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Develops and maintains detailed work instructions for assigned products/processes. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Collaborates with tool design engineers and manufacturing engineers to develop assembly tooling. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.  Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Coordinates with production on day-to-day activities. Assists in the resolution of manufacturing process issues.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 
 

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering.
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous manufacturing or production internship experience
