Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Researches, designs, develops and verifies signal processing, data processing, and algorithms for sensor systems.
Develop, model, and test algorithms using MATLAB and/or Simulink
Conduct sensor system trade studies and analysis.
Participate in lab and field testing
Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity, innovation and creativity.
Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects as a member of an integrated product team. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Support technical white papers, engineering proposals, trade analyses and internal research and development efforts.


Basic Qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering, BA Mathematics or BS Physics from an accredited university. Bachelors degree with 5 years experience, Masters degree in Engineering with 3 years experience, or a PhD in Engineering.
Understanding of radar, EO/IR and sensor signal and data processing
Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to organize/prioritize job assignments and tasks.
Strong team collaboration, communication and presentation skills
Ability to express complex technical topics in accurate and relevant terms for a variety of audiences (technical and non-technical)
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with radar technology
Experience working through the full lifecycle phases of radar and sensor system requirements definition, system architecture definition, design, development, and verification/testing.
Masters or PhD
