Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Project Manager to work in Redondo Beach, California.


This project manager will be responsible for flight hardware production. In addition, this individual will be responsible for the coordination of the production plans and execution of restricted program hardware. The project manager is responsible for the execution of manufacturing and production resources in the fabrication, assembly and test areas within a dynamic (flight) environment. The successful candidate will apply their excellent communication skills, proven self and team leadership and ability to interface with various levels of personnel including internal shop floor personnel, engineers, program leads.


A key aspect of this role is the ability to make persuasive production related arguments while balancing cost and schedule elements of the program. Demonstrated knowledge of production tools including Solumina is required.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of production experience within a manufacturing environment; or a Masters Degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of production experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience directly supporting aerospace hardware production.
  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years, OR must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.   


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the space flight hardware
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Active In-Scope TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Masters Degree
