Northrop Grumman Technology Services has a job opportunity for a Principal Technical Trainer in Sacramento, CA.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum development, conducting instruction, and tracking training for international aircraft and ground segment maintenance students.

  • Developing training materials to include academic lessons, practical application exercise, and knowledge assessments specifically in the field of aircraft maintenance.

  • Knowledge of avionics systems and capability to interpret technical specifications and engineering instructions into cohesive and relevant training materials.

  • Understanding general maintenance concepts, level of repair requirements, troubleshooting procedures, and use of appropriate corrective actions.

  • Serving as aircraft Subject Matter Expert (SME) for students and other personnel as required.

  • Performing administrative duties relative to training such as record keeping, monitoring student's progress and administers maintenance training programs.

SME/Development efforts will be accomplished as a telecommuting position, while training instruction will be conducted in host country.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with remotely piloted aircraft maintenance

  • Familiarization with curriculum development and training instruction principles

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Currently possess and ability to maintain US Secret level clearance, or higher.

  • Six plus years with Bachelors in appropriate discipline. Years of experience can be used in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • (FAA) Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Mechanic

  • Certified UAV Technician / Aircraft Electronics Technician

  • Previous Global Hawk Maintenance Experience Remotely Piloted Aircraft

  • Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Experience

  • Instructor with Training Development Experience

Travel Required: 10-25%
