We are seeking Senior Principal DevOps Software Engineers (Band 4) to support a variety of projects and technologies, with opportunities to provide advanced technical solutions for Cyber-related national security projects. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong technical skills to achieve sustainable quality products. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and developing software for small to large scale programs. This candidate will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities. He/she will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the sector business areas as required to accomplish the team goals. A Senior Principal DevOps Software Engineer designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related degree with 9 years experience; or Masters Degree with 7 years' experience ; or PhD Degree with 4 years' experience. Four additional years of applicable experience required without a degree.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • Experience developing highly complex applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Scaled Agile using SAFe Framework
  • DevOps Experience
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Tools
  • Current SECRET OR TS clearance
  • Experienced one or more of the following:
    • LINUX operating environments
    • Distributed processing and design patterns
    • Django
    • Python
    • Java
    • HTML
    • JavaScript 
    • Ansible
