The LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) Class Mission Module program team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Quality Control and Safety Site Lead who will be responsible for compliance with U.S. Navy and Northrop Grumman quality assurance and safety programs, policies, processes, procedures located at the Mission Module Readiness Center (MMRC) at Naval Base San Diego (MMRC-SD) in San Diego, CA.
What Youll get to Do:
As the QC/Safety lead, you will insure the quality and safety of maintenance performed on Mission Package Equipment using established standards, specifications and agency guidelines to meet the functional and operational needs of the LCS Class Fleet home-ported out of San Diego California.
As the NG Quality Control (QC) representative, the candidate will provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance. Candidate will work directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, process control analyses or audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications. The qualified candidate must be able to multi-task in a robust environment to coordinate overall quality and safety of the NG team working within the framework of the Navy, Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) and NG policies. May serve as liaison between the company and the various governmental agencies.
As the NG EHS (environmental health & safety) representative, the candidate will be responsible for reinforcing site and/or program safety protocols, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with OSHA and NG policies and procedures, monitoring the facility for safety hazards, and responding accordingly. Candidate will support Fall Protection operations such as needed. In the conduct of QC/Safety responsibilities the candidate must be knowledgeable in the U.S. Navys programs that include the following areas:
- Navy Quality Assurance/Control
- Navy Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI) Certified
- Navy Personal Qualification Standards (PQS) QAI
- Afloat and Ashore Planned Maintenance (PMS) Planning via SKED
- Afloat and Ashore Corrective Maintenance
- Navy Training programs
- Ability to perform and inspect maintenance checks as instructed by the maintenance manager
- Assist with reports and charts for metrics
- Ensures Standard Operating procedures supporting QA and Safety processes are adequate and current
- Augments field teams as required to support maintenance availability periods and deployments
