Northrop Grumman is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to be a part to the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Program in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This program manufactures combat systems equipment for the United States Navy.
Role & responsibilities:
You will perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties working out of a central warehouse.
You will use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
You will follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
Receive incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
(Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations; and provides supervision and guidance to other warehouse employees.
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of additional education and/or related experience
Prior experience using Microsoft Office Tools (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
An Interim Secret Clearance (or higher) with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance once on board.
