Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services (ES) is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineering Manager (level 1) to join our leadership team of qualified, diverse individuals.

The qualified applicant will lead Northrop Grummans Endpoint Security team within the Information Security organization.  This team is tasked with the important mission to protect Northrop Grummans Endpoint devices (desktops, servers, and mobile devices) from sophisticated threats, provide day to day operations and services, and strategically position our infrastructure to defend against the threats of tomorrow.  The services currently include Anti-Virus and Application White Listing, but could expand to align with new threats or requirements. This position can work virtually from any location, but will require travel (up to 12 weeks per year) to various NGC facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage virtual teams and provide day-to-day, 7x 24 oversight of the teams endpoint protection services statements of work.
  • Provide operational, tactical, and strategic planning and long term direction
  • Responsible for ensuring team meets service and operational level agreements in a 7x24 environment
  • Lead team in yearly, non-recurring project submission including planning, scoping, cost estimating, documentation, and presentations to an executive review board
  • Maintain and build employee morale through designed engagement processes and weekly recognition of performance during staff meetings
  • Present written and verbal presentations to peers and executives
  • Provide weekly/monthly status and management data requests within identified timeframe
  • Perform self-audits of managed environments to ensure compliance with all policies and work instructions
  • Responsible for hiring practices, as needed
  • Support other activities and projects as directed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Masters degree with 3 years of Cyber experience; OR Bachelors degree with 5 years of Cyber experience is required
  • Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience as a team lead, supervisor, or manager
  • Must be willing to travel (up to 25% of the time) to various Northrop Grumman facilities located in the continental Unites States
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in Cyber Security (or similar technical degree), 10 years of Computer Network Defense experience, with 3 of those years as a team lead or supervisor
  • Cyber security certification (CISSP, Security+, SANS, etc.) desirable
  • Previous experience with endpoint security products is a plus
  • Previous experience with privacy regulations and policy would be helpful
  • Ability to work well within a virtual team
  • Strong self-management and delegation skills
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Current Secret clearance would be a plus
