Northrop Grumman Technology Services has a Manager Engineering opening to oversee various engineering services programs specifically in the area of Electronic Warfare.  This role is located at our Warner Robins campus. Responsibilities include leading a team of engineers performing various disciplines related to software and electrical engineering.  Specific responsibilities include technical and managerial leadership, problem solving, business support/budget management, and other activities. 
 
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Development of customer relationships and cultivation of customer intimacy
  • Statement of Work (SOW) creation
  • Development and implementation of engineering plans addressing requirements, design, implementation, test, and qualification.
  • Development and delivery of presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders
  • Preparation of metrics and internal progress reports for management
  • Leading and directing a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Management of personnel, company resources, and other assets in support of program execution
  • Development and adherence to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools
  • Projecting estimate at complete (EAC), monthly spend rate, and funding tracking
  • Establishing and reinforcing business rhythms for monthly metrics, action items, risk management, schedule tracking

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) from an ABET accredited university
  • Minimum 6 years of professional engineering experience
  • Ability to travel within the US and Internationally
  • Active In-Scope DoD Secret security clearance or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in an environment with multiple, often conflicting requirements and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior technical and subcontracts management experience, along with a track record of leading a highly skilled team and suppliers in the design integration phases of software and hardware development within schedule, labor and material cost requirements is preferred. 
  • Prior management and cost account management experience including EVMS
  • Experience with the design, development, and integration of subsystems hardware and software in electronic warfare is desirable.
  • Experience in engineering processes and products throughout the program life cycle
  • Prior experience as a technical lead or the ability to execute as a technical lead.  This includes the effort to define the systems and the integrated planning and control of the technical program efforts of design and specialty engineering, as well as the management of supplier procurement, production on time delivery and technical execution.
  • Program and Proposal management experience with systems similar in size and scope
  • Experience managing cost type task order/contracts with performance metrics
  • Experience with USG Technical Orders
