Sr Principal Project Management, SDS Division Capital
U.S. Air Force Veteran
I was drawn to Northrop Grumman because of the diverse career opportunities and strong reputation in the defense industry. After serving over 20 years in the military, I was uncertain about my next steps, and the SkillBridge program provided a clear, structured path to explore civilian roles aligned with my experience.
A key highlight of the SkillBridge program is the ability to immerse yourself in the company’s culture, mission, and team environment. It removes much of the stress from assimilating by allowing you to network, gain insight into different roles and identify where your skills and interests align before being hired.

The SkillBridge program gave me the chance to learn how my military background could translate into Talent Acquisition, a field where I could use my experience to help bring in the talent that keeps our country strong.
The support I experienced from the Northrop Grumman team was incredible. My team made sure I was set up for success, from providing mentorship and guidance, to giving me meaningful opportunities to learn and contribute. Personally, it was empowering and gave me confidence that my skills were valued beyond the battlefield. Professionally, it was lifechanging; accelerating my development, giving me a strong foundation in recruiting, and showing me that I could thrive in a new career while still supporting the mission.
